A smile makeover is something that's always I think exciting for the dentist and exciting for the patient. It's like we can take this smile and it has a lot of issues and it really doesn't look good when the patient smiles there again they're self-conscious about it and we can totally change it and told them make it over and make it look like it really is one of those pizzazz type smiles that they walk down the street and say 'you know, wow they have beautiful teeth!' and that's very rewarding. The challenge we have is to make them look natural on top of that and that's always something that we strive for We don't want something look, 'Oh it's a great smile but it looks fake' I think that's always the challenge that we have now is doing that and that's once those all come together as one it's very rewarding for the patient and the doctor.
What Is a Smile Makeover?
Smile makeovers are a combination of treatments, each designed to address a particular aesthetic problem. We’ll work with you to plot out the perfect sequence of cosmetic procedures, and by the end, you’ll have the smile you’ve always wanted!
A smile makeover starts at your first appointment in our San Antonio,TX dentist office. Before we outline a treatment plan, we’ll need to make sure you have good oral health. To do that, we’ll give you a full exam with any necessary X-rays and other advanced diagnostic tools needed to get a perfect picture of your mouth. If any oral health-related issues are standing between you and the perfect smile, we’ll work with you to get them resolved before your smile makeover starts!
Once we’ve determined that you’re a good candidate for a smile makeover, you’ll meet with your San Antonio, TX dentist to discuss your goals for treatment. Whether you want veneers, whitening, or other cosmetic solutions, we’ll plan with you to make sure you get the perfect treatment!
As a final preview of your treatment plan, we’ll use an impression of your teeth to create a wax model of your new smile. You’ll be able to see the results we’ll create without ever starting the first part of your smile make over! This allows you to decide that you want to change something, which will give you and your dentist another chance to create a treatment plan. We want you to be completely happy with your new smile!
Who Is a Good Candidate for a Smile Makeover?
Anyone who wants to get the smile of their dreams is an ideal candidate for a smile makeover! There are, however, restrictions on what procedures can be done depending on your overall health. That’s why your appointment will include a thorough examination before we begin considering a smile makeover!
How Long Will a Smile Makeover Take?
Depending on what kind of treatment your smile makeover will involve, your treatment could be as short as a couple of visits spaced out over two to three months, or it could be considerably longer! It’s difficult to give a good estimate of the time required to perfect your smile without first seeing you and assessing the current state of your teeth as well as your goals.
Advanced Dental Associates is composed of different dentists with different expertise in the field of dentistry, who are active members of dental societies and organizations like the American Dental Associates, Academy of General Dentistry, Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology and many more.
