Well the new concept All On Four, it has been around for a little while and we are providing those services. All On Four is not always All on Four, it can be five or six depending on the situation, every patient is different. All On Four allows us to provide a provisional, a temporary full denture that is anchored to those implants that we placed and you basically leave with those. That’s not your final prosthesis or final appliance, it is a temporary appliance that is used until you have teeth ______. Your final product will be after the healing process and will be much more well fitting.
Between the two systems, the only difference is the number of implants – it’s the results you get that are so amazing! All-On-4 and All-On-6 use their specific number of implants to permanently attach a full-mouth bridge to one or both arches. The teeth that are crafted for your permanent bridge are amazingly lifelike and will set so snugly against your gums that you won’t even notice they’re there!
The All-On-4/6 systems are full mouth solutions. If you have lost most or all of your teeth, these are great solutions for you! By using implants as the base of your new replacement teeth, you are assured a long lasting and oral health focused solution. Dental implants have the ability to permanently bond to your bone, making them secure, long-lasting, and great at preserving bone that can be lost along with your teeth!
Am I a Candidate for All-On-4®?
All-On-4/6 implants are a great solution for teeth restoration, but they aren’t for everyone. You’ll need to be in good health to be eligible for this treatment, and there are a few other restrictions as well.
- You need to have good oral health. If you are experiencing other problems, we can work with you to develop a treatment plan.
- You should be a non-smoker. Smoking greatly increases the chance that your implants won’t integrate with your bone properly.
- If you are diabetic, you should be in treatment for it. Untreated diabetes can also be a risk factor for implant failure.
- You should be in good overall health. The healthier you are, the quicker and better you’ll heal!
Your first appointment at our San Antonio, TX dentist office will include a full exam of your dental health. Your health is our primary concern, and we want to be sure we verify your oral health before we start!
The All-On-4 Dental Implants and All-On-6® Process
Just like placing a single dental implant, we’ll numb you and sedate you if requested. We’ll then place all four of your implants, and here’s where the most amazing part of the All-On-4/6 system comes in:
You’ll Leave With Teeth The Same Day!
We’ll take an impression of your mouth, which will be used to build your permanent bridge. While you heal, we’ll ensure you can still eat and talk, so we’ll fit you with a temporary bridge! You’ll have a new smile in just one day!
